Before you hit the road
Everything you need to know about renting, driving, and returning.
01Who can rent a vehicle?
You must hold a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years and provide a passport or national ID. Travelers from outside the EU may also need an International Driving Permit (IDP).
02Can multiple people drive the vehicle?
Yes. All drivers must be registered and meet the same requirements. A second driver is free; additional drivers cost €4/day (max €28/rental).
03How many people can sleep in the vehicle?
The rooftop tent fits 2 people. For 3–4 travelers we can provide a ground tent or mattress inside the vehicle.
04Where can I drive?
All of Albania with unlimited kilometers. For travel outside Albania, let us know in advance so we can arrange permissions and insurance.
05Can I drive off-road?
Yes — our vehicles handle beaches and mountain roads. Just avoid extreme terrain to prevent uncovered damage, especially to the undercarriage.
06How do I book?
Reserve on our website or contact us directly. A 20% deposit secures your booking; the balance is paid at pickup.
07What payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards and, in some cases, cash.
08Is there a security deposit?
Yes, a €500 refundable deposit returned after the vehicle and equipment check out in good condition.
09Do I need to refuel before returning?
Return with the same fuel level. If it’s lower we’ll charge the difference at the current price.
10What happens if something gets damaged?
You’re only responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear, charged at fair repair/replacement costs. We review everything transparently with you.
11What if I have an accident or breakdown?
Make sure everyone is safe, call 112 if needed, then contact us at +355 67 47 56 089 or +355 69 30 68 664. We’ll guide you through next steps.
12What does the insurance cover?
Third-party liability covers damages when you’re not at fault. Partial Comprehensive adds a 10% deductible. Full Comprehensive covers both the rental car and third-party damage. A police report is essential for all claims.
13What is not covered by insurance?
Misuse, interior damage, and driving in unsafe conditions. Use the vehicle responsibly to stay fully covered.
14When is insurance invalid?
Driving under the influence, allowing an unregistered driver, or misusing the vehicle (water crossings, wrong fuel, etc.). The renter is fully responsible in these cases.
15What happens if I return the vehicle late?
There’s a 60-minute grace period. After that, late fees may apply. Let us know if you’ll be late — if we’re not notified within 3 hours it’s considered unauthorized use.
16Where is pickup and return?
Tirana or Tirana International Airport. One-way rentals (e.g. Tirana → Sarandë) are available for an additional fee.
17What is not allowed with the vehicle?
Racing, transporting illegal goods, sub-renting, towing, and extreme off-road driving (flooded streets, deep rivers, insufficient ground clearance). Violations may void insurance.
18Do I need to clean the vehicle?
We handle exterior cleaning, but excessive mud must be removed before return for inspection. Please remove all trash and personal belongings.
